Michael Weber

 


Michael Weber is an attorney at NORTH WEBER & BAUGH LLP, an intellectual property law firm located in Silicon Valley.

Mr. Weber specializes in intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis in patent law. Mr. Weber’s practice is focused on evaluating and monetizing patent portfolios. This includes reviewing patents, identifying the relevant market and potential infringers, preparing claim charts, initiating licensing negotiations and preparing for and supporting litigation efforts. Mr. Weber also has experience evaluating patent portfolios and other intangible assets for acquisition and tax purposes.

Mr. Weber’s specialty is video/image processing and transmission. Mr. Weber also has extensive experience in other technologies, including: telecommunications, networking, magnetic recording and software.

Mr. Weber also has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications and is currently an adjunct professor at the Santa Clara University School of Law where he teaches a class on patent prosecution.

 


Mr. Weber received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois, graduating with a B.S. in computer engineering. Mr. Weber received his law degree from the University of Illinois, graduating cum laude. While attending law school, Mr. Weber worked as a summer associate for Fenwick & West. Prior to founding NORTH WEBER & BAUGH LLP, Mr. Weber worked in the patent group at Fenwick & West and the intellectual property group at McDermott, Will & Emery.

Mr. Weber is a member of the California Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
